Dial and Hands
The dial presents an exquisite silver sunburst finish that radiates beautifully under light, maintained in exceptionally clean condition with barely any signs of age. It features applied faceted steel baton hour markers, notably enhanced with black inserts that perfectly match the elegant dauphine hands, which also feature central black striping. The typography is crisp and fully intact, including the classic serif text beneath the applied Omega logo, the chronometer certification print, and the signature script positioned above the applied star at six o'clock. The dial shows no significant spots, stains, or moisture marks, representing a remarkably well-preserved face that retains its original factory brilliance.

Case and Crystal
The stainless steel case features the celebrated dog-leg lugs, which remain sharp and well-defined, showcasing the distinctive faceted transitions between the brushed and polished surfaces. The case flanks are clean, displaying only honest, superficial handling marks consistent with careful wear over the decades. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal that perfectly complements the vintage aesthetic and remains clear of heavy scratches. The screw-down caseback is a particular highlight, featuring a wonderfully crisp observatory medallion where the cupola and all eight stars remain distinctly raised and sharply defined, avoiding the heavy polishing often seen on these vintage models. Inside the case beats the legendary Omega Caliber 551, a 24-jewel automatic movement finished in the brand's signature copper plating. The movement presents beautifully, with pristine bridges and a clean rotor. Close inspection reveals the caliber stamping 551 and the serial number 21210111, dating the production of this timepiece to approximately 1964. The movement is clearly marked as adjusted to five positions and temperature, reflecting its rigorous chronometer certification. Strap
The watch is fitted with an original vintage Omega stainless steel beads of rice bracelet, renowned for its supreme comfort and elegant drape on the wrist. The folding clasp is deeply stamped with the Omega logo on the exterior and remains in excellent operational condition, ready for daily wear.

Condition
Assessed as being in stunning vintage condition. The timepiece has been remarkably well-preserved, with a near-flawless dial, strong case geometry, and a beautifully clean movement. The wear present is limited to light, honest handling marks that do not detract from the overwhelming visual appeal of this collector-grade Constellation.

The stainless steel case measures a classic 34 mm in diameter, excluding the signed crown, and is paired with a bracelet sized to fit an 18.5 cm wrist.

Finding a non-date dog-leg Constellation with a dial and case in this state of preservation is becoming increasingly difficult. The combination of the sharp observatory medallion, the pristine chronometer-certified caliber, and the original beads of rice bracelet makes this a premium acquisition for any serious vintage Omega enthusiast.

Launched in 1952, the Constellation family was created to be Omega's flagship line, housing solely chronometer-certified movements. The eight stars on the caseback medallion represent Omega's two chronometer records and six first-place awards earned at the Kew-Teddington and Geneva observatories in the mid-20th century. The introduction of the dog-leg case in the 1960s added an architectural dimension to the model, cementing its status as an enduring icon of mid-century watch design.
