Rectangular-shaped glass plate engraved, signed "R. LALIQUE", with a decor featuring two ears of wheat, very Art Deco.
Model Arras listed in the Manufacture's catalogue - a collection created in 1943.
The very pared-down lines of the plate and the ears of wheat recall the Art Deco period.
These décors can be found on the large glass panels that dressed the interiors of houses.
In this collection - you find vases - plates - bowls.
Wear marks - perhaps polished.
René Lalique was born in 1860 - Master Glassmaker - he married transparency and the light of crystal.
His early collections were devoted to jewelry. In 1907 he created glass objects in his workshop at Clairfontaine near Rambouillet. In 1922 - he devoted himself entirely to glass work - he then went to Alsace to find a suitable place for producing glass objects as well as a skilled workforce. He then founded the Verrerie d’Alsace in Wingen-sur-Moder.
To this day, it is the only Lalique Manufacture in the world.
Renowned worldwide for its excellence - over the years it has transmitted its ancestral know-how.
