Akai GXC-725D 3-head cassette deck, manufactured in 1978, serial S0512, weight 10 kg, in excellent physical condition and tested and functional, with no extras included.

The main features of the Akai GXC-725D are: 3 heads and off-tape monitoring, mechanical 3-digit tape counter, manual selection of the tape type and able to handle normal, CrO2 and FeCr tapes, belt-driven single-capstan transport. The belts have recently been replaced, and the mechanism has been serviced.
Level meters used on the GXC-725D are analog needle VU meters with peak indicators for easy adjustment of the optimum recording level. Mechanical transport controls for reliable selection of the GXC-725D's transport function.
