Description from the seller
1. Introduction
We are pleased to present a historic first-generation SEIKO ASTRON GPS Solar, powered by the milestone Caliber 7X52 movement that pioneered satellite-linked atomic timekeeping globally. Based on the serial number "3D1611" on the case back, this high-tech modern classic was manufactured in Japan in December 2013, shortly after the collection's historic world debut.
This timepiece beautifully showcases the signature sculptural design of the early 7X series, defined by a dramatic, high-domed box sapphire crystal that flows seamlessly into the dark layout. The stealthy matte-black hard-coated case is masterfully contrasted by vivid emergency orange accents on the 12, 3, 6, and 9 dimensional indices and indicator elements, providing a bold tactical motorsport aesthetic. Fitted with its original comfortable silicone strap, this exceptional first-gen variant commands a strong presence on the wrist.

3. Condition Report
Overall: Though over a decade has passed since its production, this first-generation ASTRON has been exceptionally well-maintained, remaining in stable, collector-ready pre-owned condition with no major aesthetic or structural defects.
Case & Bezel: The black hard-coated finish on the case sides and bezel profile exhibits only negligible hairline marks and fine surface handling scuffs from regular ownership. There is zero notable plating loss or deep structural nicks exposing the inner steel. The crown and function pushers operate cleanly.
Dial & Crystal: The distinctive high-domed sapphire crystal is immaculate, free of cracks or distracting surface blemishes. The matte black dial face, crisp hands, and vibrant neon-orange indices are perfectly preserved with no vintage fading or deterioration.
Strap: Fitted with its original genuine black silicone strap. It displays typical minor lint attraction and light surface rubbing from gentle use, remaining supple and soft with no splitting or sticky residue. The black-coated folding deployant mechanism snaps shut tightly.
Functions: The first-generation Caliber 7X52 movement is running flawlessly; the GPS satellite synchronization, solar charging, flight-mode toggle, and quick-set calendar functions are all fully operational.
