STORY / OVERVIEW
The 1963 Ford Mercury Comet Station Wagon is an American family car with great charm. Born within the Mercury lineup, the Comet stands out for its simple, robust mechanics. The station wagon version, thanks to the large cargo area and the iconic ’60s styling, is highly sought after. The car up for auction presents as a beautifully preserved example: the bodywork is completely original, solid, with original, clean, well-maintained interiors, a 4-speed manual transmission, and Italian registration.

EXTERIOR
The exterior paint has been restored in the past to the original color Sultana White. It is well preserved and in good condition, with some signs of aging and normal use. The structure is solid and original, as one would expect from a car with these original miles. A polishing and detailing treatment has just been completed.

The underbody is well preserved, solid and in good standing for road use, with no signs of accidents.

INTERIOR
The original interiors are preserved in beautiful condition; the seats are fully usable and the car retains all factory-original details, including the original dashboard and steering wheel. The door panels and plastics show minimal signs of aging. A sanitization treatment has just been completed.

MECHANICS
The engine has always been kept in running condition; it starts and is drivable, and the clutch and gears operate correctly. The latest technical inspection, just passed in June 2026 and valid until June 2028, did not reveal any defects, and the car is road-legal, as were the prior checks in 2019, 2021 and 2023. It is, of course, always recommended to perform a normal service inspection before long trips.

A rare ’60s Station Wagon already registered in Italy is really hard to find; solid and well preserved, with a 4-speed manual transmission, it is a great investment.
