Vintage Italian six-drawer tall chest in wood, Louis XV–inspired with a wavy front, 110 cm high, 90 cm wide, 45 cm deep, weighing 40 kg, featuring a shaped top protected by a bevelled glass and cabriole legs, finished in a white distressed lacquer revealing sage green and powder blue undertones; in good condition with signs of age and small stains, drawers not easy to open due to age.
Description from the seller
The dresser is located in Milan (Italy).
Elegant six-drawer tall dresser (settimino) characterized by a contoured profile on the front and sides, clearly inspired by the sinuous lines of the Louis XV style.
The piece has been reinterpreted in a contemporary key through an artisanal decorative finish in a shabby chic/distressed style. The white-based lacquer is intentionally worn to reveal underlying shades and grains in tones of sage green and powder blue, giving the piece a romantic, lived-in look that is very on-trend in contemporary interior design.
The six roomy drawers are adorned with cast metal handles featuring foliate and scroll motifs coherent with the furniture’s style, also finished in a coordinated patina.
The piece rests on four curved and slender cabriole legs and is completed on top with a contoured top protected by a custom beveled glass panel, preserving the surface from scratches and stains and ensuring maximum everyday functionality.
The drawers do not open smoothly due to their age.
