Set of eight 19th‑century, hand‑blown champagne flutes with a knop on the foot, made of glass and originating from France, about 16 cm high with a neck diameter of ~5 cm and a foot diameter of ~6 cm, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and spots, featuring unfinished pontil marks and one piece that does not sit perfectly flat on a surface.
Description from the seller
Set of eight 19th-century, mouth-blown flute/champagne glasses with a pontil knob at the foot. The glasses have slight variations in size but are all about 16 cm high, approximately 5 cm neck diameter, and about 6 cm base diameter. Apparently this batch of glasses was never fully finished or put into use: the pontil marks have remained unpolished/unshined. One glass cannot lie flat on the table due to the rough underside (which indicates the glass was left unfinished). It is possible that the sides of these glasses were also intended to be ground further (côtes plates).
Everything is packed with great care and shipped insured.
