China Rugs trace a centuries-long tradition and are among East Asia's most significant handicrafts. They combine ornate patterns, high-quality materials and deep cultural symbolism into unique carpets that are valued both as floor coverings and as wall decorations.

Origin and History
The history of Chinese carpet weaving dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD). Especially in western China, for example in the Ningxia region or later in Beijing, elaborate carpets emerged, often for the imperial court. From the 19th century onward, Chinese rugs gained increasing international significance and were exported to Europe and America.
