Mario Padovan (1927) - Navona Square 00892

After the exhibition, with a solo room, at the 41° International Biennale of Venice (1984), Mario Padovan presented the first works based on the recuperation of the image as a support for the geometries expanding toward imaginary spaces.
Images, conceived in a historical/aesthetic reality that linked the past to the present, which allowed him to appropriate the famous, extraordinary statues of Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona, thereby inaugurating in Rome, in 1986, at the La Medusa Gallery, the show "Navona Square" presented by Mario Novi.
