Description from the seller
Set of 6 champagne/glass/sorbet bowls in heavy transparent crystal, mouth-blown and hand-polished. It presents a slender, slightly flared shape upwards, gradually narrowing toward the base. The bottom of the cup is decorated with deep vertical fluted ridges (or longitudinal facets) that end in an arch at the center, leaving the upper band of the cup completely smooth and linear. The stem is short and robust, finely worked with a central faceted knot in the shape of a hexagonal prism. This geometric detail not only provides visual stability but also facilitates gripping the goblet. Unlike classic circular bases, this goblet rests on a solid, geometric base, apparently hexagonal, with chamfered edges that echo the geometric motifs of the stem. The material’s transparency is crystal clear. Under the base they are signed: Boda, Elis Bergh design, about 1954. This is the historic Swedish glassworks Boda Glasbruk (founded in 1864), later renowned worldwide after the merger into the Kosta Boda group. The oldest part of the name dates back to 1742, the year the Kosta glassworks was founded. The founding of Boda (1864) is the one bearing the signature on the goblet.
It was founded by some master glassblowers who came from Kosta. Conditions: 2 are slightly chipped at the base (see photo) Size: height 11 x diameter 9.2 cm.
