Statue, Vergine Maria - 64 cm - Wood

This is a polychrome wood sculpture from the 18th century depicting the Virgin Mary. The statue is carved in wood and hand-painted. It shows signs of age and wear, consistent with the historical period in which it was made. The Virgin is depicted above clouds with angels at the base.
Restoration needed: some cracks in the wood.
Lack of hands.
Very old, purchased at auction.
