Description from the seller
SLOVAKIA. Kremnica. 200 Korún. 1996.
- Value: 200 Korún.
- Year: 1996.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: OLYMPIJSKÉ HRY · 200 Sk · 1996 · 1896. Reverse: SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA · Slovenský Olympijský Výbor · 1996.
- Grade: MS67 (PCGS).
200 Korún silver commemorative coin issued by the Slovak Republic in 1996 to celebrate the centenary of the modern Olympic Games, from Athens 1896 to 1996. The obverse features a stylized composition inspired by an oval Olympic track, with concentric lines evoking movement and athletic competition, framing a classical column that symbolizes the Greek origins of modern Olympism. The reverse shows the Slovak national coat of arms above the inscription of the Slovak Olympic Committee and the Olympic rings, integrated into a sober and balanced institutional design. The reliefs are precise and well defined, with bright fields and highly reflective surfaces that enhance the coin’s visual contrast. The MS67 grade awarded by PCGS corresponds to an exceptionally preserved specimen, with almost intact original mint luster, minimal minting imperfections, and a standout presentation quality.
