Very beautiful faience tableware service from Sarreguemines - off-white color with a central decor depicting a rural scene - a farm with a person and his dog in a natural setting - in brown - green - pink - soft yellow - along the edge small bouquets of wildflowers - a gold trimming around the rim - the rim is slightly undulating in the 18th century taste.
Each piece bears the stamp - Sarreguemines-Digoin - France - model "Vieux Marseille".
This model was produced as a coffee or tea service.
The Sarreguemines Factory (Lorraine) has existed since 1784 - in 1876 - it opened a new factory at Digoin and a warehouse at Vitry-le-Francois in the Marne - in 1978 - the Digoin Factory specialized in porcelain production.
The Sarreguemines Factory is renowned for its tableware - its quality and its patterns.
Over the years it has managed to pass on its ancestral know-how.
