Elegant and refined jewelry box dating to the late 19th century, crafted to the highest standards of European cabinetry of the era. This is an object of notable craftsmanship, characterized by rich burl veneers of thuya, a wood highly prized in luxury manufactories for its spectacular natural grain, consisting of dense eye-like markings and evocative concentric patterns.
The lid features a sophisticated geometric composition made with bois de rose arranged in a herringbone pattern, embellished by elegant inlays in maple and light woods that frame the central panel.
