Goedewaagen - Pot - Ceramic - Gouda faience

Magnificent large white earthenware tobacco jar, made by the famous Dutch manufacturer Goedewaagen in Gouda.

This model of refined elegance directly evokes the traditional Delft Blue style. It features a rich hand-painted floral decoration and bears the central inscription "MARYLAND", framed by splendid scrolls and Baroque motifs. The back of the jar also reveals a delicate blue flower painted with finesse. It is topped with its original patinated metal lid (bronze/brass appearance), which gives it a very handsome presence.

A tiny pencil trace on the back, not visible in the photo, so fine.
