Balance or scale - Brass, Cast iron - Antique Unster

Beautiful and complete antique unster (scale) from the late 19th or early 20th century (circa 1880–1920).
The scale is in beautiful, authentic condition and features a very fine material combination. The supporting hooks and suspension chains are made of characterfully forged iron. The lot is equipped with the original copper scale and the distinctive pear-shaped counterweight cast in brass. The brass beam scale is fitted with a decorative, crescent-shaped pointer at the top.

Complete including the suspension hooks, the chains, the brass arm, and the original pear-shaped counterweight of approx. 0.90 kg.
