A rare and highly atmospheric Soviet scientific instrument set: an original ARI-49 handheld induction anemometer, used for measuring air flow and wind speed.

This is a particularly attractive collector’s lot because it is preserved not only as a single instrument, but as a complete original set. The lot includes the anemometer itself, its original wooden transport/storage case, instruction manual, technical certificate and accessories shown in the photographs.

According to the original document included with the set, the instrument dates to 1960. The documentation also refers to GOST 7193-54, confirming the Soviet technical standard under which this type of instrument was produced.

The ARI-49 is a professional Soviet measuring device with a very distinctive industrial design: rotating cups, cylindrical handle attachment, visible measuring scale and the model marking “АРИ-49” on the instrument. It was intended for practical technical, industrial, laboratory or meteorological use, making it a strong object for collectors of scientific instruments and Soviet technical history.

The original wooden case is an important part of the lot.
