Description from the seller
Title: Lemon Tree III
Artist: Kirsty Wain
Medium: Acrylic on canvas (Unstretched)
Dimensions: 57.5 x 73 cm (painted area) plus an additional 5 cm border for stretching Condition: Excellent
Offered is Lemon Tree III, a vibrant and captivating original acrylic painting by the contemporary artist Kirsty Wain. The painted image measures 57.5 x 73 cm and features an additional 5 cm unpainted border around the edges, perfectly allowing the canvas to be wrapped and stretched onto a wooden frame of your choice.
Wain employs a bold, post-impressionistic aesthetic characterized by graphic outlines and a rich, saturated color palette. The tightly cropped composition immerses the viewer directly into the canopy, where plump, sunny-yellow lemons are juxtaposed against lush emerald foliage and soft pink-and-white citrus flowers. Thick, winding branches in deep burgundy loop across the canvas, accented with distinctive blue hatch marks that add an illustrative, rhythmic texture to the piece. A cheerful turquoise-blue sky peeks through the negative space, providing a high-contrast backdrop that makes the warm tones of the fruit intensely pop. With its textile-like repetition and joyful, Mediterranean atmosphere, this eye-catching canvas brings an uplifting, sun-drenched energy to any space.
The artwork is in excellent condition and is hand-signed by the artist in the lower right corner.
