Oval Brass Wall Mirror in Rococo Revival Style
Period: Second half of the 20th century (circa 1960-1980)
Material: chased brass and mirror glass
Style: Rococo Revival / Hollywood Regency
Striking wall mirror crafted in brass, featuring an elaborate openwork frame decorated with scrolling rocaille motifs, stylized shells, and foliate ornaments. Its elegant oval shape and richly detailed decoration are inspired by 18th-century Rococo design, reinterpreted through the decorative aesthetic of the mid-20th century.
The warm brass patina enhances the depth and refinement of the ornamental details, creating beautiful light reflections and emphasizing the craftsmanship of the piece. The original mirror retains a subtle age-related patina that contributes to its vintage character and authenticity.
