About this lens

The Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 is a compact, lightweight wide-angle prime introduced in 1987 alongside Canon's EOS system and the then-new EF autofocus mount. It offers a fast f/2.8 maximum aperture, a wide 75-degree diagonal angle of view, and a 52mm filter thread, with an AF/MF switch on the barrel for quick manual override. It is a practical, highly portable everyday wide-angle for both film EOS and digital EOS bodies. Made in Japan.


Mount and Compatibility

Canon EF mount. It works natively on all Canon EOS DSLRs (both full-frame and APS-C) and on EOS film bodies. On Canon EOS R-series mirrorless cameras it can be used with the EF-EOS R mount adapter, retaining full autofocus; it can also be adapted to other mirrorless systems using electronic EF adapters.


Condition: USED — Good
Pre-owned, with a minor optical flaw (slight internal fungus) as described below. Cosmetically clean with only light use.

Known Issues
- There is a small amount of fungus inside the lens. In its current state it does not appear to affect image quality, but fungus is a defect and can potentially spread over time. We recommend storing the lens in a dry environment and, if desired, having it professionally cleaned.
