Description from the seller

Agfa Selecta M Solinar is a 35mm film compact camera produced in the 1950s by Agfa, representing the most refined version of the Selecta series thanks to the Solinar lens, among the best ever made by the brand.

The body keeps the sober and elegant design typical of Agfa: clean lines, metal construction, and compact dimensions that make it practical to carry anywhere. It is a camera intended for everyday use, but with a higher quality than the simpler compact cameras of the era.

The "M" indicates the presence of an integrated rangefinder, which allows precise focusing through the viewfinder, overcoming the focusing guesswork limit of the base versions. This makes it much more versatile, especially for portraits and scenes with a shallow depth of field.

The true strong point is the Solinar lens, a high-quality optic for the period, characterized by sharp rendering, good contrast, and a pleasant tonal depth. It is one of Agfa's most appreciated lenses, capable of competing with higher-end products.
