Description from the seller

Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 S.C. — Standard Manual-Focus Prime (Breech-Lock FD)

Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.

IMPORTANT — Please read carefully:
- There is a slight HAZE (light fogging) in the lens, along with a few tiny dust specks.
- Based on our inspection these do not affect normal shooting, but the haze is a genuine optical condition.
Please read the Known Issues section and check every photo before bidding.

About this lens

The Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 S.C. is the classic "normal" standard lens of Canon's FD manual-focus system, introduced in 1973. It uses a 6-element, 4-group double-Gauss optical design with Canon's S.C. (Spectra Coating). This is the breech-lock FD version, with a 55mm filter thread and a closest focusing distance of 0.6 m. It was by far the best-selling lens of the Canon FD lineup, valued for its compact size and pleasing rendering. Made in Japan.

Mount and Compatibility

Canon FD mount, manual focus. It mounts natively on all Canon FD-mount SLR bodies. On modern mirrorless cameras (Sony E, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Canon RF/EF-M, and others) it can be used with a simple FD-mount adapter while retaining infinity focus.
