Description from the seller
The service manual and schematics are included with the tape deck. The TEAC A-303 from the late 1970s (1977–1980) is an excellent example of Japanese audio engineering from a time when equipment was built without compromises, focusing on metal and durable mechanics. Large, backlit VU meters and a mechanical, three-digit tape counter. In addition, beneath the counter there is a hidden record indicator that, when recording is engaged, lights up a cartoon-like oscilloscope trace.
- Type: 2-head stereo cassette deck (record/playback head + erase head).
- Drive: Single-capstan design, powered by a solid belt and a strong DC motor.
- Tape handling: Switch for ferric (Type I), chrome (Type II), and the iconic ferrichrome (Type III – FeCr).
- Systems: Dolby B noise reduction."
