Beautiful clock from a well-known French clockmaker.
Rare early 20th-century piece.
Shows the expected signs of age such as light scratches and slight discoloration.
The Frenchman Bulle developed this clock in the early 20th century. The special feature of this early electric clock is that the pendulum drives the movement. The pendulum is essentially a large coil that swings around a semicircular magnet. Once per swing the pendulum receives an impulse. Just enough to keep the clock running.
