Ritual Fetish Mask - Kongo Yombe - DRC Zaire
It is difficult to place this mask among the Kongo sub-ethnic groups. Its Yombe attribution should therefore be used with caution.

Another difficulty is its fetish-like appearance, with its numerous nails, which leads us to think that this mask was an object of Nganga, a fetishist.

We have not been able to find an equivalent, even in ML Félix's standard work on the Kongos.
