Appearance:
Minor scuffs and normal signs of use. The lens shows light cosmetic wear consistent with age, but there are no major dents or serious damage visible.

Function:
Autofocus telephoto zoom lens for Nikon F mount (D-type). Aperture ring present (f/4–f/32). Metal F-mount with CPU electronic contacts and screwdriver-type AF coupling. Zoom ring and focus ring are present and operate through their full range.
As is typical for an autofocus zoom lens of this vintage, a faint mechanical sound may be heard when the zoom ring is rotated — a normal characteristic of the internal helicoid mechanism after many years of use, and not a sign of damage. It does not affect photographic operation.

Optical system:
No obvious fungus, haze, separation, or major scratches are visible from the photos. A very small amount of dust may be present, but no defect affecting shooting is visible.
