Description from the seller
This camera is in very good condition. It has a few rust spots and signs of use. It has been tested for operation and it was found that the blades stick together and therefore do not fully open every time. This varies from shot to shot; sometimes it opens and closes as normal, other times more slowly or not at all.
Includes:
- Yashica Mat 124
Lens: Yashinon 80mm f/3.5 (four elements), known for its sharpness and contrast.
Shutter: Copal-SV mechanical shutter with speeds from 1 to 1/500 second + Bulb.
Film type: 120 (12 exposures) and 220 (24 exposures) roll film (switch on the back).
Exposure meter: Built-in CdS meter that runs on a (nowadays often replaceable) battery.
Difference 124 vs 124G: The 124G (G stands for Gold, referring to the gold-plated contacts of the light meter) is the later version, often with a somewhat lighter construction (more plastic parts) and a brighter focusing screen.
Ergonomics: Includes a crank for film transport and winding the shutter, which is faster than a dial.
