Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Philips 742 stereo receiver, manufactured between 1974 and 1976, in excellent physical condition and tested working, weighs 6.5 kg and includes a power cord (one unit).
Description from the seller
The Philips 22RH742 (often simply called Philips 742 or Soundmaster 742) is technically not a compact world radio or world receiver, but a large vintage hi-fi stereo receiver from the years 1974–1976. The confusion with a world radio probably arises because the tuner is equipped with four shortwave bands: FM, LW (Long Wave), MW (Medium Wave), and SW (Short Wave).
In particular, the shortwave band (SW) was formerly used to receive stations from all over the world.
Main specifications of the Philips 742
Device type: Stereo receiver (amplifier and radio in one).
Design: Classic ’70s "space age" design with a large, green/orange illuminated station scale and a plastic/wooden housing.
Power: 2x 15 to 2x 22 Watts continuous.
Reception: FM (with 5 mechanical preset buttons), MW, LW and KG.
Connections: Suitable for a turntable (DIN connector), tape deck/cassette deck, and headphones (the headphone lid no longer closes properly (occasionally) but the spring is present, and it can be fixed easily by a handy person).
Speakers: Ability to connect 4 speakers for a "Stereo-4" (pseudo-quadraphonic) sound effect.
This Vintage item in excellent condition will be packed with the utmost care for shipping."} }Hopefully the JSON is proper with only one key. Ensure no extra text. The keywords KG maybe Dutch abbreviations for LW, MW in Dutch? They had MG, LG and KG earlier; I left as MW and LW? The original says MG, LG en KG. Those correspond to MW (Middengolf), LW (Lange Golf) and KG maybe KW? In Dutch, KG stands for KG? Perhaps
