Beautiful and ancient Adan figure from Ghana. The face is enigmatic and ghostly. Disfigured by wood-boring insect attacks. Its presence is unreal. The sculptor managed to imbue this work with life. The sculpture is dynamic and well composed. The handling of the volumes is particularly successful. The statuette is covered with dark orange and white pigments. Colors typical of the Adan culture.
