Intriguing and captivating statuette from the north of Togo. It is an atypical piece with a lot of personality. The figure seems astonished, illuminated. Its gaze is deep, plunged into the invisible worlds of spirits. It is timeless, focused on its mission. Voodoo loves to lead us into its mysterious worlds. The body is alive, in movement, inclined and dynamic. The head is in motion. There is sensitivity in this work. The sculptor has managed to convey an emotion to us. The wood is oxidized just like the remnants of offerings covering it; it is an old object that has lived. Sold as is, see photos. An antique and authentic collectible piece. Circa 1960.

Son regard est profond, plongé dans les mondes invisibles des esprits. Il est hors du temps, concentré sur sa mission. Le Vaudou aime nous entrainer dans ses mondes mystérieux. Le corps est vivant, en mouvement, penché et dynamique. La tête est en mouvement. Il y a de la sensibilité dans cette oeuvre. Le sculpteur a su nous faire passer une émotion.
