A very large and heavy potted Zhangzhou Ge-type dish. Covered with a thick, lustrous ivory-white glaze, suffused with a network of dark "iron-wire" crackle in imitation of the classic Ge-type ware. The base is partly unglazed, with an iron wash and a gritty foot rim. Ming Dynasty, 16th–17th Century.
