Description from the seller

This splendid lunch thermos is not just a container, but a true fragment of the history of Italian industrial design from the 1970s. With its clean, geometric lines and the iconic chromatic contrast between the optical white of the lid and the vibrant, pop red of the body, this object perfectly embodies the lively and optimistic aesthetic of a golden era.

THE MASTERPIECE OF MADE IN ITALY

What makes this piece unique is its identity card, proudly embossed on the bottom. Fully produced in Italy, it was born in the production heart of Lombardy, in Cusano Milanino, on the outskirts of Milan. In those years, the town was a real engine of excellent manufacturing, where artisanal ingenuity met the precision of big industry.

Every detail was designed and stamped by the historic Officine Standard S.p.A., a name that for generations of Italians has been synonymous with reliability, day trips, camping holidays, and, above all, lunch breaks at work.

FROM THE WORKSHOP TO EVERYDAY LIFE

The sturdiness and practicality of the high-thickness rigid plastic structure recall its true soul: an object born to last, conceived to resist workshop life, construction sites, and long shifts, yet so beautiful and functional that it became a classic for Sunday family picnics.

The passing, integrated handle, built directly into the large screw cap, is a masterpiece of ergonomics of a bygone era, designed to be gripped firmly even with work gloves on. Inside, the era's thermal technology guaranteed perfect preservation of hot, substantial lunches, bringing the warmth of home directly to places of toil and progress.

Today, this thermos has surpassed its original function to become an irresistible collectible piece, a perfect vintage decor element capable of imparting a warm nostalgia and modernist style to any setting. A true tribute to Italy that built the future with beauty and concreteness.
