Description from the seller
Amsterdam School table clock – copper, ca. 1920-1930
A characteristic small table clock in the style of the Amsterdam School, made of copper and dating from circa 1920-1930. The design is characterized by the typical expressive language and artisanal appearance that define this Dutch art movement.
The clock features a strong, geometric construction with a round dial equipped with raised copper dots as hour markers. The combination of smooth and rough-worked surfaces gives the piece a lively and decorative character. The warm copper tone, in combination with the natural patina, enhances the authentic look.
A particularly decorative object that fits perfectly within both an Art Deco / Amsterdam School interior and a more eclectic setting.
The clock is equipped with a quartz movement; the second hand runs, but the hour hand does not advance.
