Pair of polychromed angel figures executed as pendants, each equipped with a candleholder. The figures face each other and display a gentle facial expression with spread wings and long robes in pastel tones with gilded accents. The stance and drapery vary slightly, giving both angels their own character within the whole. Such figures were used as altar or chapel decoration and often formed a frame around a central religious image or tabernacle.
Height approx. 67 cm; with original polychromy and gilded details, in good condition with normal signs of aging, light wear to the polychromy and gilding appropriate to age and use.
