Description from the seller
The Mukka Express is a modern icon of Italian industrial design produced by Bialetti.
It was officially launched on the market in 2005, enjoying immediate international success. This brilliant evolution of the classic moka was conceived by designer Alfonso Giannone, who integrated a globally patented frothing system directly inside the body of the coffee maker.
Technical Features and Operation
Unlike normal coffee makers that extract only coffee, the Mukka Express was designed with the precise purpose of preparing espresso cappuccino directly on the home stove. The body is made of heavy-duty, high-thickness die-cast aluminum, ideal for uniform heat distribution. The unit is divided into three fundamental components: the lower boiler (treated with a dark coating), the funnel filter for coffee grounds, and the upper collecting chamber.
The true innovation lies in the special pressure valve positioned at the center of the inner column in the upper chamber. By pouring cold milk directly into the upper container up to the indicated level and pressing the valve button before lighting the flame, the steam generated by the boiling water not only brews the coffee but also vigorously blends with the milk, creating a dense and velvety crema similar to what you find in a café. Lifting the central valve also allows preparing a classic latte macchiato without foam.
Interesting Details and Curiosities
The Iconic Design: The visual appearance is a clear and playful tribute to the world of milk: the finish faithfully reproduces the characteristic spots of a cow. The name itself, “Mukka,” phonetically plays on the fusion between the word “Moka” and the noun “Mucca.”
The Historic Logo: On the front sits the timeless Bialetti “Little Man with a Mustache” logo (originally created by cartoonist Paul Campani in 1953), a element that links the historical heritage of the Piedmont brand to the contemporary innovation of this model.
Ergonomic Details: The handle and the knob of the lid are molded in heat-resistant thermoplastic, designed with ergonomic lines to facilitate grip and service without drips.
