Description from the seller
Polish Military Wooden Field Case — 1950s — Solid Wood & Metal — Industrial — "DK-1" Markings
A robust and characterful military field case manufactured in Poland in the 1950s, originally used by Polish armed forces to store and transport equipment. The piece bears original white stencilled markings "DK-1" on multiple sides, along with an inventory code "S+51-27" on the side panel — all adding to its authentic provenance and collectible appeal.
Construction:
Built from solid pine wood with heavy-gauge metal corner reinforcements, riveted metal trim, two side carry handles, and a front latch/lock mechanism. The lid is hinged and opens fully, supported by metal stay rods. The interior is unfinished natural pine — clean, spacious, and structurally sound.
Exterior:
Painted in original olive/field green military paint, showing natural wear, surface scratches and patina consistent with decades of active service. No restoration — fully original.
Markings:
DK-1 — stencilled white, on front and side panels
S+51-27 — inventory/unit code on side panel
Versatility:
