Description from the seller
Elegant English hall chair in classic Hepplewhite style, crafted from solid mahogany dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
The chair is characterized by the gracefully shaped backrest with carved decoration, the lovely curved lines and the turned front legs. The warm mahogany has developed a beautiful deep color and patina over the years.
The seat is upholstered with high-quality light-colored upholstery fabric and finished with decorative nailhead trim. The upholstery is in neat condition and the chair sits surprisingly comfortably.
The construction is solid and stable. As is common with antique furniture, there are some light signs of wear and aging, including small shrinkage- and stress cracks in the wood, appropriate to age and authenticity.
A decorative and versatile piece of furniture that fits well in both a classical and a modern interior.
