Description from the seller
Imagine a world where Earth becomes the crossroads of wonders: superheroes breathe there, aliens stroll there, and distant galaxies find a familiar radiance there...
About the series "Galaxy Advertising"
Designed and destined for neighboring galaxies, this series gives birth to a form of intergalactic communication, as if what happens here deserves to be relayed elsewhere...
Thus, for this series, Kobalt invents a language that no one speaks, not even himself. A improbable mix of zero-gravity Cyrillic and Martian calligraphy vaguely Asian, this writing is supposed to be the most spoken in the neighboring galaxies… No need to try translating it: it says nothing, yet it says it beautifully. A cosmic wink to a communication coming from very, very far away... or just from another imaginary world.

Biography:
Kobalt, born in Paris in 1970, embodies the journey of a polymorphic artist whose creativity has unfolded from electronic music to contemporary graphic art. Coming from a family where art was already present thanks to his father, a draftsman, Kobalt discovers at a very young age his first passion: music creation. This passion guides him in his youth, and his early talents lead him to take a bold decision: invest the money intended to fund his higher education into creating his first album.
Distributed by EMI, the album did not achieve the expected success, but it marked the beginning of a richly experimental artistic career.
Alongside his musical career, Kobalt enters the world of advertising as a designer/writer for the iconic Playboy magazine. For many years, he channels his creativity into the publication by creating and producing the magazine’s advertising campaigns.
The turning point of his career comes in 2005 when he becomes a cameraman, thus exploring a new facet of the visual world. In 2007, he discovers a passion for photography, adding another artistic string to his bow. In 2010, he successfully founds his own photo agency, highlighting his entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2017, Kobalt makes a radical choice to sell his agency to fully embrace graphic art, influenced by his son, who has become a major figure in world street art. A pioneer of computer-assisted artistic creation, Kobalt stands out with nearly 3,000 works sold in galleries and online to this day.
His artistic approach is marked by bold use of humor, provocation and anachronisms, with a particular penchant for reworking magazine covers, a style that makes him instantly recognizable.
Despite the digital era, Kobalt has chosen to stay off social media, preserving a certain privacy. Today, he uses all available digital tools to bring his creations to life, continuing to push the boundaries of artistic expression with a subtle blend of inspiration, innovation and humor.
