Description from the seller
Vintage postmodern nightstand lamps with Murano glass shade, Italy, 1980s.
* Base: made of black matte painted metal. The power cord with the switch exits from the back.
* Lamp-holder element: at the center of the base is the vertical lamp holder, perforated steel with a grid pattern, curved and tapered. Its function is twofold: it houses the bulb and serves as a reflector, directing light toward the diffuser.
* Diffuser: The most characteristic element of the lamp is its fan-shaped diffuser, made of opaline satin Murano glass. The radial veins emanating from the center of the fan create a pleated effect that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also helps distribute light softly and evenly. This fan is mounted on the base, fixed with a screw, and extends laterally to form a wider semicircle.
* Overall aesthetics: The lamp harmoniously combines different materials – the black metal of the base, the steel of the central element, and the milky translucence of the diffuser. The design is clean, geometric but with elegant curves, reflecting the minimalist and refined style typical of Italian design in the 1980s. Its purpose is not only to illuminate but also to function as a true piece of furniture, a sculptural object capable of catching attention.
* Lamps are working, with a two-level brightness switch, sold WITHOUT bulbs (accommodate small halogen bulbs)
Dimensions:
height 21 cm
width 34 cm
depth 12 cm
