Description from the seller
A very interesting and impressive sculpture made of agate, quartz, calcite, and 925 sterling silver.
Piece by Spanish craftsman Amador Braojos.
Amador Braojos (Totanés, Toledo, 1947) — Aries.
He is a sculptor of minerals and precious metals, born in the province of Madrid, and he runs his own art school.
He said:
“Minerals are those primordial beings with a stone soul, in whose beauty one lives and the memory of the earth is preserved.”
“Each mineral is unique, with its own characteristics. The creative eye is the one that discovers it and allows it to express itself. In that expression there is aesthetics and history.”
“Working with them means observing and letting yourself be guided, creating a space of dialogue between the mind and the object, to produce the emotion of discovery.”
Sculpture in silver and white quartz on an agate base.
Signed and numbered 56/70.
Weight: 6 kg.
From my collection.
It is in good condition, with some scratches and signs of its age.
