Fine Chinese celadon bowl from the Song Dynasty (960–1279) with elegant, under-glaze incised floral decoration. The harmonious form with a slightly lobed rim and the subtle gray-green celadon glaze reflect the reduced aesthetics of the Song period, which is valued for its balanced form language and subtle glaze variations.
Provenance
Previously traded on the renowned auction house Dr. Nagel, Stuttgart, listed under Lot 1057 (original label available).
