Description from the seller

Art Deco liturgical chalice in hammered silver, accompanied by its original gilded paten and kept in its transport box.

Belgian work from Bruges attributed to the Mouraux Br. workshop, circa 1930-1940.

Elegant sober, modernist decoration with a hammered background, adorned with stylized grapevines and applied crosses. The knot is richly engraved with Eucharistic motifs of grape clusters and foliage.

Interior of the cup entirely vermeil.

Inscriptions engraved under the foot: “Mouraux-Br”, “Michaelis”, “Sancti M”, “Pareciani” and “Dederunt”, probably related to an ecclesiastical dedication.

The paten bears a monogram IHS engraved at the center.

Very fine workmanship typical of Belgian Art Deco religious silverware.

Bruges, circa 1940.
Silver tested.
Gross weight of chalice and paten: about 578 g.

Very good overall condition with light signs of use. Original old case preserved.

The photos are an integral part of the description of the objects and complement their presentation. They allow you to assess their condition and features. Please examine them carefully before any commitment.

It will be very well packaged and protected to reach you quickly by tracked postal shipment.
