Ancient wrought-iron key from ITALY, 17th century. Good condition with patina of use and age.
The head is oval in shape (kidney-shaped or stylized heart), typical of keys from the 17th or early 18th century.
The shaft is solid, long, and of round cross-section.
The panneton (the functional part that actuates the mechanism) is divided into two sections with a central bridge-shaped part.

Ancienne clé en fer forgé ITALIE XVIIe. Bon état avec patine d’usage et d’ancienneté.
La tête est de forme ovale ( en forme de rein ou de cœur stylisé) typique des clés du XVIIe ou début XVIIIe siecle.
La tige est pleine, longue et de section ronde.
Le panneton ( partie fonctionnelle qui actionne le mécanisme est divisé en deux sections avec une partie centrale 
en forme de pont.
