the iconic Majak (Маяк) crystal mantel clock, produced in the Soviet Union (USSR)

Origin: Produced in the USSR by the Serdobsk Clock Factory “Majak” (Сердобский часовой завод)

Materials: A thick, heavy case made of cut crystal glass (faceted) mounted on a stable base of black Bakelite or plastic.

Mechanism: Mechanical, wind-up from the back (usually equipped with 11 ruby jewels), offering a running reserve of about 7 days.
