Technical Note

The service pieces feature handles coated in silver plate and regularly stamped with fineness 800 and the identifying Calegaro mark. Each knife bears the inscription with the weight of the silver. Correspond to the 12 fruit pieces and the 12 butter/spreads pieces.

These items have never been used. The butter/spreads pieces still retain the original factory-applied transparent protective coating on the functional parts, testimony to their untouched state. The surfaces are bright and well preserved.

Slight traces of oxidation and patina may be present, entirely normal and consistent with the objects’ age.

Punching and Authenticity

Each individual piece bears regularly the Italian State mark with fineness 800 and the identifying stamp 76 PD, attributed to the prestigious Calegaro manufactory in Padova.
