The document concerns the succession in second life of an encomienda of the Peques and Bejicos Indians following the death of Bartolomé de la Rúa, within the Spanish colonial administrative system in the Americas.
It preserves the royal formula “Yo el Rey” and is endorsed by the royal secretary Gabriel de Ocaña y Alarcón, connected to the Council of the Indies.
