Description from the seller
Two Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Plates, Kangxi and Qianlong Periods
A pair of antique Chinese blue and white porcelain plates dating from two of the most celebrated periods of the Qing Dynasty.
The first plate dates to the Kangxi period (1662–1722) and is decorated in underglaze blue with a finely painted floral design. The surface also features subtle incised decoration beneath the glaze, a technique often associated with higher-quality Kangxi wares, adding depth and refinement to the overall appearance.
The second plate dates to the Qianlong period (1736–1795) and is decorated with a traditional landscape scene featuring mountains, water, and architectural elements rendered in elegant blue tones.
Both plates measure approximately 22 cm in diameter and provide excellent examples for the study and appreciation of Qing Dynasty blue and white porcelain.
Condition:
* Qianlong landscape plate: rim chips and one hairline crack.
* Kangxi incised floral plate: rim chips and a hairline crack extending across the centre of the plate.
Please examine the photographs carefully for a detailed assessment of condition.
A desirable pair of Qing Dynasty blue and white plates, representing two important periods of Chinese porcelain production and offering strong decorative and educational value for collectors.
