Manufacturer: Dixon & Co
The mark on the left inside the shield (an L above the inscription & Co) is the punch mark of James Dixon & Sons, a famous Sheffield manufacturer in England. It is one of the oldest and most important companies regarding the production of silver-plated tableware.
2. The inscription "E P S M"
The letters you see at the top right are a technical abbreviation:
EP stands for Electro-Plated (Galvanized).
SM stands for Soft Metal (soft metal, usually an alloy of tin and antimony known as Britannia metal).
EPSM indicates that the object is made of white metal silver-plated by a galvanic process.
3. The number "93"
Often in Dixon items, the numbers represent the model or catalog code, or the amount of silver used in the plating process for a specific set of pieces. In this context, it almost certainly indicates the
