Set of 6 solid silver 800 dessert/fruit plates, each 19.5 cm in diameter, total weight 1,380 g, made in Italy in the 1950s in a Mid-Century Modern vintage style; good used condition with age-related marks including an oxidation patina, scratches on three plates and two small dents on two plates.
Description from the seller
Set consisting of 6 dessert/fruit plates in solid silver, 800 fineness, with a shaped wavy edge. The lot comes from a private collection and has been kept by the same family since the 1950s, when it was purchased in the Lecco area.
Notwithstanding oxidation over time reduces its perfect visibility, with the help of a magnifying glass the “800” hallmark and the factory identification mark can be distinguished, in which the inscription "1 AL" is visible
*Material:* Solid 800 silver
*
*Quantity:* 6 plates (for dessert/fruit)
*
*Total weight of the lot:* 1,380 grams (about 230 grams per plate)
*
*Dimensions:* Diameter of 19.5 cm for each plate
*Condition of the item: *
The plates are structurally solid and sound. Being antique items, they show widespread and normal signs of time and use. Specifically, there is an evident patina of oxidation (particularly visible on the back and near the hallmarks) and surface scratches from tableware, noticeable especially on three of the six plates. There are also two small indentations localized on two distinct plates, both visible in the overall photo (as well as in the individual shots). No other deformities are evident.
The last two photos were taken specifically under a different light to best highlight the details of the defects reported.
