Lovely Italian genre scene with knitting mother and her sleeping child in the front of peasant house was executed in ca. 1870 by the represantative of Italian genre school, signed O. Caraccioloand was attributed to Italian painter Ottorino Caracciolo ( 1855 province Bari - 1880 Paris).
Inscription: signed lower right.
Technique: oil on wood. Original period gold-plated frame.
Measurements: unframed w 10 1/3" x h 6 7/8 " (28 x 17 cm), framed w 18 2/3" x h 15 1/8 " (35,5 x 24,5 cm)
Condition: in very good condition.
